Hi I too have suffered with back problems. Sciatica is REALLY painful I highly suggest you go to another Dr. for a 2nd opinion. Your age has nothing to do with the level of pain. Plus caring for two children is hard. Your Dr. probably is concerned about you getting addicted to drugs, but I don't think anti-inflamatory drugs are. There are some good over the counter Motrin, etc. but I found it cheaper to get a prescription and pay like $5.00, he can give a higher dosage per pill than you can buy. GOOD LUCK..tryto go to someone else.
