Hi Whiney, I say go ahead and have your tonsils out, Its better to go through a week or two healing rather than having a lifetime of throat infections. I had my tonsils out two days ago and its not all that bad, yes it does hurt but from my point of view it no worse than my worst case of tonsilitis, i have had 20+ years of tonsilitis and even though its uncomfortable i am glad i went ahead with it. I have been able to eat toast, chocolate and a cheese burger from mcdonalds lol
