The only thing that got me through this experience besides the painkillers was ice chopped up in a blender. Then, somebody lent me a snow cone/ice shaver machine. What a godsend!!! They are pretty cheap on the Internet. The snow cone machine is a million times easier and faster than the blender. I have been using a Rival brand machine. Also, Ensure or SlimFast shakes that are partially frozen give you some nutrition.
