my dayghter had surgery for spinal stenosis. c1 laminectomy, occipital craniectomy, 10 years old, SEVERE spinal stenosis . Have you been checked or diagnoised for Klippel Feil syndrome?? Without the surgery, she would have become quadrapalegic or even died with so much as a "whip lash" . It took a Neurosurgeon to help not a neurologist, he said, yes there is a kink, "Let"s wait and see what happens"... Thankfully, we already had surgery set and ready to go, when I told him this, he replied "well,you see, that really is just a little below my area, I had no idea.If the neurosurgeon said operate by all means do it! He knows more about that than I do!.... All that to say ... get a second opinion. The tests that showed us were a cevical mri and a flexion extention x-ray. They went through the back of her neck , we were out in 48 hours! AMAZING God BLess... Check on KLippel feil (fusion of vertebre and or ribs associated many times with many many anomilies...
