nervous hives

I feel for you! I went through this a few years ago when I went from being a stay at home mom to a working mom going to college 3/4 time. First off, you do have to be sure it is caused by nerves. If you have changed/added anything new - foods, soaps, laundry degergent, any type of beauty product, etc., you should stop using it and return to something you know you did not react to. A serious allergic reaction would not necessarily go away in 2-3 days with benadryl alone. (my son became hyper-reactive and had hives for weeks WITH TREATMENT). If you are sure it is "just nerves," but cannot see a doc right now, go to a healthfood store and get some St. John's Wort and Kava Kava (sometimes will come together), or a preparation recommended by an employee (I use Calms U by Vitol). The Kava Kava was the only thing that kept me grounded at first - then added the St. John's for even better result. Oatmeal baths will help with the itch. Good luck!
