Hello, Your voice will be goofy for about a week or two, then it slowy goes back to normal. I had mine out when I was 25, it was tough. I was in allot of pain and I would vomit up blood for around 4 days, I could eat anything, it hurt to bad. The only thing that really felt good was that Lugisii(I think I spelt that wrong!) Italian Ice,You can buy it in the freezer section at the grocery store. I wish you all the luck in the world, since I had mine out I have only had strep throat once in 10 years. Karen W.
