Chris, I too just found out that I have 5.6cm by 6.7 cm cyst on my left ovary. I have had three children though. I think you should ask to have just the cyst removed. If it comes back and the ovary isn't functioning correctly it is of no use anyway. THe right side will work to get you pregnant. Also, my sister had this same persistant problem and her doctor gave her some kind of shot that helped the cysts rupture on their own the way they are supposed to once the egg has matured. In the long run always remember you have the other side. Just because one is acting up doesn't mean the other one will. One of my friends had a tubal pregnancy and lost her whole left ovary and tube...she has had three babies since. Don't worry so much about it. Honestly, try to have faith that you will be fine. A positive attitude goes A LOOOONG way!!:) Good luck to you.
