Glucophage is the brand name for metformin. It is a medicine and from what I have heard (I was thinking of trying it too)... the side affects and adverse reactions can be severe... please check your prescription paperwork on side effects, etc... or do some internet research. Because of the problems with it, I opted NOT to go on it and to try carb/sugar reduction and soy. Good luck and keep posting.
