A couple of things...sometimes hiccups are caused by a liver condition, but I would assume the doctor would have done liver enzyme analysis and an abdominal ultrasound. Another cause is the displacement of the diaphram. There is a massage technique called "visceral massage" that can place the organs and diaphram in their proper position, allowing proper flow. I don't know where you are located, but the "Upledger Institute" in Palm Beach Florida could find one for you. My son, when he was three had half his kidney removed due to reflux damage, which made half his kidney into a big balloon. This caused the kidney to be pushed up against the intestinal area that usually crosses over top the kidney. He had difficult bowel movements, but once he got his viseral massages, lowering the remaining kidney, he was okay. An ultrasound of the abdomen would be good to rule out any enlargement of an internal organ. Once that is ruled out, then go for viseral massage to "release" the diaphram, which could stop the hiccups.
