My first thought is...what city are you in? Are you close to Houston...the greatest cancer hospital in the world? Is your oncologist able to refer you there? It is free if need be. Secondly, who do you have for a support system (emotionally...physically...daily tasks....mail bills..take care of any animals...help with your family (wife? husband? kids? parent?....etc) My nephew battled cance...had radiation...chemo at M.D.Anderson (cancer) Hospital in Houston....he also had a bone marrow transplant, and is now doing fine, and it saved his life....he is now back in college, at work, living a good life! There is a good life for you. Check out M.D.Anderson on your web site. It is a hospital aslo FULL OF LOVE!! And yes, chemo will most probably 'knock the stuffing out of you' as you say. Do you need a 2nd opinion? Has another lung specialist read your x-rays? Just a thought...not meant to cast shadows on your physician at all. My husband and I will keep you in prayer. I don't know your name, but the Lord does! God bless you!
