I have had pain in my left hip for over 3 years. I was diagnosed with bursitis for 2 years, but have finally been correctly (hopefully) diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I am only 32. My doctor has recommended hip arthroscopy surgery to see if there is anything he can fix in there to help me for at least a few years. I had a second opinion yesterday and that doctor said he didn't think arthroscopy surgery would help me in any way - basically I would just have to live with arthritis. Now, I can't decide what to do. I am leaning towards having the surgery to take the chance of improving my situation if only for the short-term. Any advice?
