has you doctor sent you to a hematologist yet to do blood tests to try and figure out why you have blood clots causing severe dvt? Have chronic dvt myself, and am on coumadin for life. Live in the states so don't know good doctor in Canada...have them test you for Protein S deficiency, Protein C deficiency...both are rare but Protein S causes blood to make clots. Good luck to you
