Thank you, Laura P., for the info. I will try the ice packs. As for the "top doc's" office, I am on a cancellation list and hoping daily that someone will cancel sooner than May 27th. Thank you for the chuckles about the hair tossing. :) I don't believe that this inability will affect me either, as I've never been a "hair tosser", even when my hair has been quite long. The last doc seemed to think that I will have just one long surgery with front and back incisions to fix all problems. Did you have front or back? Or both? I have heard that the front incision is small and barely noticible after healing, but know nothing about the back of the neck incisions. It is good to know that relief can be felt so soon. I am noticing numbness in a couple of my toes now and would love to be through with this all.... soon! Thank you again. Laura O.
