I am 9 days post-tonsilectomy today.I am 30 yrs old. I am still in great pain. My tongue hurts and is stiff and numb as well. Anyone else have that problem? I can't miss a dose of tylenol or I am in unbearable pain. My voice hasn't really changed. I can't yell or anything though. All I can recommend is to avoid ice cream(it thickens saliva and you can't clear your throat). I have been able to eat nothing but soup,jello,popscicles but I have recently added scrambled eggs to my selection. (that will give you protein)I am starving.......!!!!!I feel like I will never be able to eat pizza or anything yummy again. Does this pain ever end??? Goodluck to you!!!
