Dear Hot Flashes, Key in the word Thyroid and check out all you can about the thyroid. Lots of the symptoms you describe are attributed to thyroid disfunctions but you have to look long and hard for doctors to even acknowledge this because when thyroid blood levels are done, you can be in range and yet have hypo or hyper thyroid. I have a goiter due to the lack of my body's ability to utilize the thyroid that is being made so my thyroid increased as a result. I am also trying out BRT (body restoration technique) in hopes of clearing some enviornmental toxins that can lodge or cling to the glands in a person's body and prevent the thyroid from functioning properly.
