Last week I went to my gyn for recurrent yeast infections. I've been on birth control pills for 10 months and seem to have some type of vaginal infection at least every other month. This past visit the gynecologist stated that my cervix was red and inflammed. She also stated that I had a copious amount of yeast. Naturally, she gave me a presciption intra-vaginal cream. My question is can a yeast infection cause my cervix to become irritated, or could it have been a combination of hormonal imbalance from my birth control pills.
