I had surgery a month ago for a disk that was pressing on a nerve, causing numbness and lots of pain. I had several opinions that suggested surgery. I was very scared, and had heard that sometimes it does not help. But I took a chance...... I am very glad I did. I feel about 75% better. It has been a hard recovery, but about the 3 week mark I felt tons better, and it is continuing each day to get better. I hope your husband gets well soon. I know it is very hard. Just support him as much as possible, don't get tired of hearing how much it hurts, because you really have no idea........Good luck to you....
