Is this normal? It would really depend on a few factors...Is your daughter underweight? If she is VERY, VERY underweight it could be a sign of an eating disorder. If she is slim, in good shape, perhaps athletic like a runner, than it might be normal to her activiy. If your daughter is overweight, oily skin and acne. Perhaps facial hair, this cold be a sign of a condition called PCOS or polycystic Ovarian syndrome. It may or may not cause pain. But it would, in some cases, stop her periods. It is an insulin problem and can be treated by a GYN. An ultrasound and blood work can determine if this is the problem. If you suspect the first problem than you daughter will need a lot of support and help. How old is your daughter now? If she is still under 16 and none of the above problems seem to aply than her body could still be regulating itself. I would talk to her GYN about your concerns and perhaps have her hormone levels checked to ease everyone's mind. An ultrasound would make sure that all her organs have developed normally and all is well. Good Luck!!!
