I had Rheumatic Fever when I was six. I almost died from not being diagnosed early enough. I pulled through it luckly with no major heart damage and then at the age of 17 I had a very mild recurrance. Now at almost 51 I have been in so much pain in my hips,knees, ankles shoulders and back there are days I can barely move. I have tried everything to find out if this means my rheumatic fever has returned but the doctors act like this is a disease that is ancient history and they do not want to listen to me. Has anyone else had this problem? Have any of you found a way to get these Doctors to listen to you? Can it even come back now with no warning or anything. Help me if you can for I am about at my wits end!!
