My husband has been diagnosed bipolar-manic depressive following artifical valve replacement in his heart. He is depressed and sleeps all the time. When he is awake he is angry and verbally abusive at times. I know he does't mean the things he says but they still hurt. His moods swing back and forth so fast it is hard to keep up and his once iron clad memory is gone. He is on many meds and sometimes they help. I feel alone all of the time.
