Russ, sciatica is very hard,..I have it in my lower back,I had 2 hip operations long ago, well to help you I hope ther is a medicine called neurontin,it effects your central nerve system,you can also try epidural blocks that sometimes help for a while... but look into it go see a pain managemnet doctor.There good.good luck
