My mother suffers from Blepharospasm. It took a long time to get diagnosed. Hers all started with her gasping for air. Everyone kept thinking it was her heart. We spent a week at Mayo clinic and they told us it was depression. Finally, we went to another doctor and found out what it really was. She gets botox shots in her eyelids. Now she also has spasmatic dysphonia and meige syndrome. It all stems from blepharospasm. Have your doctor test you for blepharospasm if you also suffer from the other ailments along with gasping for air. Good luck.
