Many years ago I had this test, and experienced the same thing as you did, and was terrified for years to even consider it again. (My father died from colon cancer, so some kind of test necessary). Last year I had a colonoscopy at a Kaiser Hospital, and it was almost pleasant. Everyone was so nice. They put me to sleep, did the procedure, woke me up, gave me some juice, monitored me, treated me so well, sent me home within two hours. I have absolutely no fear to have this repeated in four more years. Please do your research and ask a lot of questions. (Colonoscopy is much more thorough, please look into this).
