My husband had the same problem. He had tingleing also in his arm and hand. It was esophegus spasms (which is right behind the sternum. My husband has went to the ER numerous times and the third time he was admitted to the hospital to do tests, they did a stress test on the heart and was very normal etc. It all came back that it wasn't his heart. The other times that he would go to the ER they would give him a GI Cocktail and have him drink it and if the pain subsided then it was obviously not the heart. Hope this helps.
