my 2 nephews have the disease. while the elder (aged15) is on sodium valproate and is seizure free, the younger ( aged12) is having recurrent seizures with convulsions since yesterday. the doctor has added sodium valproate thrice(total 600mg) to his existing regimen of carbamazepine( 450mg). he has also added clonezapam at nights. is such a drastic increase advisable, considering he was arelatively seizure free until yesterday.what is the role of diazepam in controlling convulsive seizures? en early reply would be very indebting.
