acid reflux

I also suddenly was diagnosed with acid reflux. It was a wake up call. Change of diet and exercise and balance with rest and activity are essential. NO MORE SODAS, Dr. is right, but that is only part of the problem. Sitting in front of a computer, and phone day after day, does not help your stomach. I was told , ( and it's TRUE) that you have to move everyday, especially after lunch and dinner and no eating after 8 PM..... Small meals and no fried foods, no caffeine,no acid fruits and no eating fruit with other foods. No chocolate or anything difficult to digest, especially when symptoms are strong.Surprisingly, dairy foods feel good at first but cause all kinds of stomach problems. Mostly milk, cream , sour cream etc. I had it so bad, I went to the ER twice and slept sitting up for 1 1/2 months. Don't let indigestion get so bad that it leads to this. There is hope and it takes a lot of patience. What really helped me sleep at night was breathing deeply and slowly in and out at night, especially when painful, or difficult to breath. BREATH anyway. Also what helped was getting adaquate sleep every night. Taking CALMS homeopathic or anxiety pills, temporarily,to help you sleep, until the esophogus has a chance to start healing is good also. There is a HYLANDS" Homeomathic pill called INDIGESTION that is helpful for mild to moderate cases of acid reflux. NO Side effects. You can take it any time of the day or with other medications. I always keep it on hand. Hope this helps.
