My neurologist said he has a 70% success rate with the cortisone into the lower back-going in under xray. I had three shots, helping about50%, but I still required disc surgery. I did get slight head aches after the shots. The surgery was an easy deal. 3 weeks later and I'm going back to work, walking several miles per day.
