nicki, the device is actually to help migraines,tension headaches and to prevent from clinching but my general dentist and orthopedic says it could help the TMJ pain right there at the jaw and help with those headaches too. The FDA just cleared it as a way to help migraines. The device is called an NTI... Let me hear from you :) Good Luck denise
