I have seen my regular doc and I'm now seeing an orthopedic surgeon and he has never done this type of exam. He usually does a series of tests testing my strength but he never even touches me in the area where it hurts most (neck) I'm going to physical therphy, taking pain meds and now I'm having a nerve test and a myleogram, which is done to find out exactly where all the pain is coming from. My MRI shows 3 herniations in the neck. If your not happy with this doc I suggest seeing possibly a nuerosurgeon or orthopedic.
