My husband has had psoriasis for 20 years and is now clear! He went to a arthritis specialist, yes arthritis. Psoriasis is caused by an inflamation and can cause what is called psoritic arthritis. Do you ache? Could be psoriasis. Anyhow, he started taking metheltrexate and started gradually clearing. It has taken 8 months but he is now totally clear. The only problem is some people do not tolerate the pill. He has had no problem. He has to have his blood tested every 2 weeks to check his liver, but feels that is a small price to pay to be rid of the psoriasis.
