I am almost 50 and during 3 of my last 4 periods I have broken out in hives. I do have allergies, but never gotten hives this bad in my life. My allergist says it could be hormonal. My gynecologist says to see an allergist. I can sympathize with the extreme itchiness because that is what happens when I break out in hives. If anyone has experienced this and has a solution, let me know and I'll do the same if I hear something. I have a suspicion that it could be also related to menopause. Thanks!
