sorry to hear about your discomfort. i'm not completely experiencing what you have, but because of an illness i was just diagnosed with, i have been given some medicine to prevent my eye from getting to the point where you seem to be. i was just diagnosed with bell's palsey, which is a partial paralysis of the face. since i can't move my right eye or even blink, i've been given an over the counter product called Lacri-Lube, which can be purchased without a prescription at your local pharmacy. To keep the eye lubricated, you simply apply it only at night (since it will blur your vision). Due to the facial paralysis, my right is is constantly open, since my eye can't blink. I was told that I run the risk of it drying out, which can cause a cyst on the inside of the eyelid, which in turn can scratch the cornea and causing permanant damage. I am using this product at night, along with the recommended taping the eye shut or eye patch. This keeps the moisture in. Also try wrap around sunglasses, to prevent air from blowing in your eye. It's probably not the complete answer, but hope it can provide some relief. Good luck and hang in there!
