hi #1 try taking LYSINE daily. about 500mg twice daily. Its a amino acid. it will not cure it, in fact there is no cure, however it may lessen the outbreaks and when they do occur, take about 1000mg twice daily. it seems help the sores not get as bad and heal faster. my son has been getting these herpes, cold sore break outs since he has been a baby, 17 yrs. he gets it on the face, not the lips. we have been to multi drs. including one from u of m. #2 also swollen lymphnodes, glands, are normal when you have a virus going on in your system. as long as they go away and then maybe come back when it returns. if your enlarged lymphnodes does not go down completely, see a dr. good luck
