I was just diagnosed the end of May 2001 with sarcoidosis. I woke up one moring with severe swelling of my ankles up to and including my knees. After many tests it was found in my lungs, face, skin and joints. I am now on prednizone that is controlling the inflamation of the joints. I am interested in a support group in my area. I live in the Cleveland/Akron area of Ohio. If anyone has any information I would appreciate hearing from you. Also would be interested in any reading material on sarcoid. Since nobody around me has ever heard of this condition they don't understand what I'm going thru. I really think they think I'm nuts and am a cronic complainer about symptoms. The last few days I have been having pain in my right ear and neck. I had trouble with TMJ several years ago and am wondering if this is typical with the sarcoid.
