Rivotril (Clonozapam) is an anti-convulsant known to produce physical dependency. You need to consult your doctor about a schedule for tapering you off the drug. Too-rapid cessation of use can cause withdrawal symptoms. You might also wish to consult with another qualified neurosurgeon concerning your neurologic workup. You do not indicate the precise nature of injury that is believed to have caused your tinnitus, though clearly some type of head trauma occurred. I would hope and expect you have been evaluated for problems other than the trauma itself -- the symptoms could also be associated with a pre-existing brain tumor.
