To help the body reabsorb the hematoma, this will help. Wet a towel with very hot water, wrap around the leg, wrap a plastic trash bag around the towel and tape edges of bag. Put a heating pad around the back of the leg and elevate it for 20-30 minutes. It will make it feel better and will increase the circulation so that the hematoma is more quickly absorbed.
