Tanya, I was diagnosed with moderate cervical dysplasia a few months ago. My doctor did the leeps procedure, which I though was pretty painful. After talking with my doctor I was fairly confidant that it would all be cleared up and I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. Last month I had my 1st pap since the procuder and it came back abnormal again. He has refered me to a specialist who will probably perform a laser surgury. I am so scared, but I know I have to be strong. My biggest fear is that I will not be able to have children. I am 21 and I am getting married next July. As far as I know, the theory behind displasia is that it's caused by the HPV virus.
