Adhesions

Message 4 of 6 Previous Next

Have you been checked for ovarian remnant syndrome? This means that at time of ovarian removal, part or pieces or remnants of your ovarian tissue was in- advertently lefe behind. These can be- come functional or cystic and rupture into an already adhesive process. The tissue can be anywhere, i.e., on the peritoneum or omentum, etc. To rule this out, have your doctor -- insist that your doctor run an FSH and LH blood serum level -- get the results and check them yourself. If they fall into the pre-menopausal range, you could have this syndrome. The cysts are not always there -- i.e., they are functonal cysts and rupture -- some grow very large and interfere with bowel or bladder function. There is a support group for this disease Katy
