I had a similar thing happen about a year ago and my PC could find nothing wrong and was sent to an opthamologist who found nothing wrong---took something for pain all the time for weeks and finally I figured it out when I was half asleep one night---it was a tooth that was capped and had never had a root canal---had that done and days later still had the pain and called the dentist back and found that the tooth next to it needed a root canal so I would sure check that out---putting a warm heating pad on my face helped and felt very good.
