Has your doctor ruled out migraine then, since you have no light sensitivity? Or a combination headache (i.e. migraine,stress,sinus)? Mine lasted for about three weeks, with none of the pain meds helping, until I was given a shot of demerol at the emergency room which finally broke the pain cycle. I saw a specialist soon after and had a scan done also, which showed nothing amiss. What I DO know is that I had been pre-menopausal at age 40 and didn't know it; my hormone levels were beginning to waffle up and down, bleeding was excessive, and I had had a prescription for PROVERA just before the headaches began. Apparently I am tremendously sensitive to the female hormone balance in my body. Hope this gives you some ideas.
