I was diagnosed with Iritis when I was about 29. My right eye would flare up every few months and turn bright red. My optometrist put me on streoid drops that I put in my eyes everytime I had a flare up. Iritis is a symptom of a systemic disease. Several that you daughter should be tested for are diabetes, Crohn's disease, Behchets disease and there are several others. It is very important that she stays on the drops. Though it took several years, the Iritis goes away, but does cause damage to the eye and if not treated can cause blindness.
