I was diagnosed when I was in the emergency room. My hemoglobin was 4. My platelets were below 10 and i don't remember what the white count was. To confirm the diagnosis i received a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy the next day. Within a month I was at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda,MD getting treatment. Perhaps it is harder to diagnose in young children, but i wouldn't think so. Keep after them, and good luck. I will pray for you and your child.
