rhumatoid arthritis

I take methotrexate elixir for rheumatoid arthritis. I've taken it for about three years. It is the first drug I've ever used that made my arthritis calm down to the point that it helped me regain strength and mobility in my joints. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. I haven't had any bad reactions to it. The first rheumotologist that started me on it had me inject myself subcutaneously the drug just under my skin. When I moved and went to another doctor that I knew and saw on a regular basis for my condition wanted me to ingest it,so I tried it his way. I informed him that the drug did not work the same as injecting it. He told me to go back to injecting. I inject myself once a week. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has had a bad experience with this drug. Thank you in advance for any feedback.
