I have a friend that has rheumatoid arthritis. She was diagnosed nearly 2 yrs. ago, and has been on methotrexate for about three months now. She gets monthly bloodwork to check liver and kidney status. Doing better on this med than anything else to control the pain and swelling. She too has neck pain that felt better when she was taking Naproxen. She was taken off the Naproxen when she started taking metho because of the potential for greater risk of liver damage when both meds are taken together. Hope you find this info useful.
