My son-in-law is having a lot of trouble with kidney stones and the family has learned a lot from his different specialists. You need to have definite answers to these 3 questions: 1. What is the kidney stone composed of?(Usually calicum or uric acid crystals) 2. What is the metabolic process that formed this kidney stone? 3. What will prevent the formation of future stones of this type? Don't let a doctor say he doesn't know or let him remove one without preventing the formation of more. There is medicine to dissolve them, medicine to prevent them - but evidently it is hard to get definite answers to those 3 questions.
