ENDOMETRIOSIS AND HYSTERECTOMY

JH

Message 8 of 9 Previous Next

HI, I HAD ENDO REALLY BAD THEY DISCOVERED IT AFTER I HAD MY FIRST SON BACK IN 1983. I HAD IT EVERYWHERE EXCEPT MY TUBES. SO I HAD SURGERY TO HAVE THE ENDO REMOVED. THEN I WENT ON A MALE HORMONE TO STOP MY PERIODS FOR 6 MONTHS. I WENT OFF THE MED. HAD 1 PERIOD AND WAS PREGNENT THE NEXT MONTH. I DID EVENTUALLY HAVE A HYSTERECTOMY ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO ABOUT 3 OR 4 YEARS AFTER MY 4TH SON WAS BORN. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN OR YOU ARE VERY YOUNG (UNDER 35) I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND A HYST. THE HOT FLASHES ARE HORRIBLE,YOUR STOMACH TURNS TO MUSH AND SEX IS NEVER THE SAME. IF YOU CAN HAVE SURGERY TO REMOVE IT I WOULD SUGGEST THE SAME COURSE I HAD THE FIRST TIME AROUND I WAS ABOUT 38-39 WHEN I HAD THE HYST. CHECK AROUND GET A SECOND OPINION. DID YOU HAVE A LAP. TO SEE HOW SEVERE THE ENDO IS? DON'T JUST JUMP INTO HAVING A HYST. THE SURGERY WENT FINE ITS THE CHANGES IN YOUR BODY AFTERWOOD. GOOD LUCK
