Sorry to hear your problem. Unfortunately I appear to have the same, although only had my first attack but its been months and still not gone away. Pain not bad but still can't run (jog) or fast walk. The C medicine was same as you defined...after three days, started throwing up, etc....had to stop. Now I'm only on allpurinol (zyloprim) but doesn't seem to be working fast. I'm going back to Dr. next week...if anything new, I'll let you know. Good Luck, Bill
