At my normal 12 week checkup I did not have any signs of CMV in my system. But at my 20 week checkup to find out what the sex of my baby was. We were stunned to find out what we were going to have to deal with. There were signs of problems on the baby. The size of the baby was smaller acordingly to the gestation. There was fluid in the abdomen (ascites). The best precaution is to read about what the risk of getting this virus during early pregnancy are.
