Hi, I too had cervical disc surgery on c-3 and c-4. Both had to fused with a bone fragment off my hip. I do not regret having the surgery, because I too was in a great deal of pain, and even though I am experiencing pain now, its nothing to what I had been in. I also have three herinated discs in my lower back. I am kind of weary about this surgery, because I have friends that have had this surgery, and they had to go back and repeat the surgery, in less than a year. It really depends on the person and what degree the herinated discs are whether or not if surgery would be of benefit. Talk to your doctor and if need be, get a second or even a third opinion. I did.
