Adult tonsilectomy

Message 96 of 118 Previous Next

I am a 23 year old young man :) living in Amsterdam, I can relate to many of your stories regarding the tonsil rocks(or what ever you called them). My tosils were HUGE and had many little cavities in them. Also I had tonsilitis about 4 times a year for the past three years. therefor my dicision to have them removed. This happined last thursday, its tuesday now so its been 6 days now or recovery. I feel like I am going to jump off the roof, I wish I would have never gotten this operation done! I am an active kickbokser and have broken many bones and that combined with other things I would like to believe my pain tollerance is higher then normal. But this is unbelievable, I dont know what to do, my throught looks like hell. I havnt eaten anything solid since the operation. I whent back to the docter who perscribed Paracetamol with codeine along with Declofenacnatrium, but this doesnt cover the whole 24 hours in a full day/night. I have slept 10 hours max in the last 6 days. I cant swallow, eat, drink, move my jaw, or head, my ears feel like they are being pierced by dull pencils. HOW long is this gonna go on?!?! please tell me, it feels like it is only getting worse. Even the top of my head hurts :( and I have 4 huge painful blisters in my mouth to top it all.
